Alanui is known for its patterned garments inspired by different cultures and locales around the world. For Spring/Summer 2023, the fashion brand makes a stop in Palm Springs, CA, adopting the desert’s palm trees, cacti, blue skies, and sun-filled relaxation in every garment.

Founded by siblings Carlotta and Nicolò Oddi, Alanui’s foundation lies in the siblings’ love for vintage knitwear and globetrotting style. Its recognizable jacquard cashmere pieces incorporate elements from cultures and artisanal traditions worldwide, reworked into their own style.

The Spring/Summer 2023 collection reflects on our relationship with nature, creating an energetic and happy mood through bright colors mixed with natural hues. The bright and bold results are immediately eye-catching and seem to scream independence.

The collection includes a new scarf pattern of palms, flowers, parrots, and monkeys on the Icon cardigans and cardicoats. Baja sweaters and oversized pants, sweaters, cardigans, jeans, and jersey items join the collection with tie-dye, motifs depicting the desert species of the oasis, shibori sparkles, bandana graphics, and fringe—not to mention the characters of Tweety and Bugs Bunny in a collaboration with Looney Toons.

Alanui’s first complete collection of shoes includes soft suede mules decked out with fringes and recycled plastic beads, and crochet knit espadrilles decorated with the collection’s multicolor rainbow motifs. To cover every imaginable base, a collaboration with Poldo Dog Couture returns with a series of Icon cardigans for dogs, and the homeware collection includes blankets, maxi cushions, beach towels, and beach pillows.
