A return to simplicity and elegance seemed to dominate new products across the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) as well as much of the co-located International Builders’ Show (IBS), held this year at the Las Vegas Convention Center in late February.

The largest kitchen and bath trade show in North America wrapped on Feb. 27, after three days of new product launches, exciting demos with big names, networking, and more. Interior designers, architects, and building and design professionals from all over arrived to the busy halls for the show, owned by the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and produced by Emerald Expositions. The co-location of KBIS and the National Association of Home Builders’ IBS as part of Design & Construction Week continues to make for some big excitement. The show saw a combined 167,000 registered visitors.

The energy of the crowd was palpable, according to Tyler Thompson, director of brand marketing at Caesarstone. “They’re interested—leaning in, asking questions, and it’s amazing. You don’t always see that on a show floor. Being able to sit, ask questions, be involved with the conversation, and take a moment out of their day at the show. We couldn’t be more happy with the audience and their reaction to the booth this year,” he says.

Matte black was largely the star of this year’s festivities, as designers and manufacturers alike said they were looking to simplify designs and focus attention on the fine and beautiful things.

Experts in the field also pointed to an overwhelming demand for streamlined offerings that make life easier, as well as a growing push for designs focused on wellness and looks inspired by nature, with neutrals and clean lines continuing to be in demand.

Next year’s event will take place February 17 to 19, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Here are some of our own favorites from the KBIS 2025 show.

It’s not every day that a toilet inspires the runway. Design powerhouse Kohler broke the mold when its new Veil Smart Toilet in Honed Black inspired a bespoke Monse dress that debuted at New York Fashion Week.

Kohler recently announced the partnership with Laura Kim, co-creative director of Monse and Oscar de la Renta on their “Design Changes Everything” campaign. The collaboration celebrates the transformative power of design with reverence to a core belief that it can elevate the everyday into the extraordinary.

Kohler enlisted Laura as creative partner and face of the campaign to help bring an artistic vision to life with her stunning, bespoke dress inspired by the sleek silhouette, honed black finish, and bold simplicity of Kohler’s Veil Smart Toilet. “The dress was inspired by the color of the Honed Black toilet,” says Stephen Maliszewski, director of public relations for Kohler.

Kohler also owns Kallista, a top luxury American kitchen and bath brand that debuted three new bathroom collections—Bezel, Aileron, and Bandeau—during KBIS.

“We are continuing Kallista’s luxury bathroom offerings with this year’s new launches,” says Alexander Dornbracht, managing director of Kallista. “At Kallista we want to highlight our innovation and offer timeless yet design-forward products.”

Among the exciting designs was an exquisite, hand-carved stone tub in the middle of the showroom with new Aileron Tub Filler. “It would not be out of place in a castle,” says Stephen Maliszewski, director of public relations at Kohler.

Kallista’s newest stone tub will launch in Q3 and is crafted from Rosso Levanto marble, a striking marble with a rich burgundy hue and exquisite white veining. Stones available at launch will be White Carrara and Nero Marquina. The tub’s rounded square contours make for a sleek profile and warm contemporary aesthetic. Kallista has been introducing some of the industry’s most innovative and quality collections since 1978—from kitchen faucets, sinks, and accessories to bathroom faucets, sinks, showering, and tubs.

Dacor’s new anti-scratch glass across the cooktop also offers a resilient, easy-to-clean matte finish for long-lasting premium quality.

Brizo goes classic with the Frank Lloyd Wright Kitchen Collection, available summer 2025 in a variety of finishes—Polished Chrome, Brilliance Stainless, Brilliance Polished Nickel, Brilliance Black Onyx, and Brilliance Luxe Gold. The new collection builds upon the Frank Lloyd Wright Bath Collection released in 2021 in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.

Details like wood and glass inlays in elegant faucets recall the beauty of the famous architect’s organic residential designs with a focus on intentional asymmetry. “All of the different inlays, all of the natural inspiration, the wood—everything is designed based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s six design principles,” says Brianna Tiller of MSL Group, who works with Brizo. “It’s very thoughtfully integrated. It’s definitely a well-loved collection.”

The new products feature an expanded palette inspired by the natural world, with innovative handle materials like glass, concrete, and wood—from pull-down kitchen faucets to bar faucets, pot-fillers, and more.

New Color Vessel Lavatories by Toto

A pop of color brought life and energy to an already exciting Toto setup at KBIS this year, as new Color Vessel Lavatories in vibrant color hues demanded attention. The new, rectangular sinks were inspired by nature and the changing of the seasons and will be available in summer 2025.

“From a designer’s perspective the colors really allow you to create a lot of expression and personalization for your clients,” Jarrett Oakley, director of marketing for Toto, told a tour of interior designers during the show.

“We’re looking at the changing of the seasons, and we’re also looking at what the market is interested in. Consumers’ tastes are changing, and they’re looking for more earthen tones, more statement pieces, things that can tie the bathroom together or draw the eye.”

Oakley says he continues to hear from design experts that they’re tired of the traditional gray and white bathroom of old. “Architects and designers in the field are asking, ‘How do I make a statement piece or bring nature into my house? We’ve seen that over the last couple of years. I think that’s a carryover from working through home, being at home from Covid that period of time, when you wanted to renovate your house to be something other than just your house.”

Toto reimagines the home as an oasis. “I feel like that’s what we’ve been seeing—that kind of trend. Also sustainability. The people we market to who are interested in these products know they’re maximum performing and provide an unparalleled sense of clean, personal wellness, but they also want to see themselves in the solution around saving water and energy. I think everybody can agree we have big challenges in climate. Our brand is really steeped in that from day one.”

INTEOS by BLANCO

Global premium kitchen brand BLANCO celebrated a century of German-engineered innovation and excellence at this year’s KBIS in part by unveiling its new INTEOS BLANCO UNIT. While Blanco has long been known for its sinks, there’s been a growing push to provide a full kitchen experience—from organization in and around the sink to make food prep and cleanup easier to water filtering for safe drinking.

INTEOS is a revolutionary workstation sink system designed to simplify everyday workflows with adaptable accessories that go beyond basic meal prep, including oven-safe trays. This new setup allows you to move seamlessly from chopping to rinsing to baking and more. A Stack & Store system allows you to neatly stack accessories or store them below the sink with the INTEOS Organizer Bag, keeping the kitchen clutter-free.

“Around 60% of time in the kitchen is spent at the sink zone, making it the heart of our homes where culinary creativity and functionality meet,” says Lars Christensen, vice president of strategic portfolio development and market intelligence for BLANCO North America. “With INTEOS we’ve reimagined this vital space to offer more efficiency and intention, allowing homeowners to create a kitchen that effortlessly anticipates their every move.”

INTEOS is available in various sizes, colors, and materials to meet every kitchen’s needs. Choose from classic Stainless Steel or BLANCO’s own SILGRANIT (a patented granite composite sink material with superior strength and durability), in a range of nature-inspired colors.

Beauty goes big with AVASTONE, a leading Italian manufacturer known for its large, porcelain slabs designed to create memorable furniture pieces, transform kitchen countertops, and more.

AVASTONE is the leading brand for large-format surfaces in 12- and 20-mm thicknesses. The brand made its KBIS debut with an exclusive collection of marble, stone, wood, and material-effect slabs.

“The highlight in my opinion are the slabs. Consider that 10 years ago they didn’t exist,” says AVASTONE’s Luca Meschiari. “It shows how technology is evolving in size and even on the digital printing on the surface. Every year it’s increasing and the products are different. It’s insane how it’s growing so fast.”

The MAGELLANO line was inspired by the power of nature, with an intense green color combined with light and shadow to create a memorable impact and add personality to spaces.

Oval by Ortal

Luxury also found a cozy home at IBS this year, with incredible fire features from Ortal.

The global leader in luxury fireplaces and flame technologies debuted its new sculptural Oval product line at the show.

Oval reimagines the traditional fireplace with a bold, steel-sculpted, oval-shaped design with smooth curvature and refined lines. The sleek, modern aesthetic would be at home in any commercial, hospitality, or high-end residence and is available in 31- and 47-inch models. The Oval series can be fully suspended or mounted to the wall, creating striking architectural focal points across interiors.

Ortal prides itself on having the biggest visual plane possible with its fire features. With Oval, they wanted to offer the biggest flame viewpoint on the market. “Our opening is the largest you can make that opening,” says Elizabeth Margles, CEO of Ortal North America. “That was a challenge—to make the opening as big as possible, still keeping the temperature so you can put your hand on it and it’s warm to the touch, but you’re not going to burn yourself. How do you make it as big as possible and not overheat?”

Oval was designed using a very thick, durable material to achieve its goals. Its design also ensures there will be no warping.

Ortal also showed off its innovative Direct Vent system—a sealed system that ensures cleaner, safer, and efficient heating while protecting indoor air quality. Ortal’s advanced power vent system enables installation in typically restricted areas, while its smart heat control technology enables heat to be transferred into different rooms.

Nature inspired LX Hausys’ CraftedConnections, designed for residential and commercial application, including the innovative manufacturer’s TrueMatte technology, with remarkably realistic aesthetics and soft-touch textures.

“CraftedConnections is more than just flooring,” says Martha Wakelin, creative director at LX Hausys. “To me personally and for LX Hausys, it’s a design philosophy that seamlessly brings together nature, people, and interior spaces. We spent a long time researching and thinking about what is needed in the marketplace. We’ve traveled across the US, listening to the A&D community and our customers. Based on this work, we intentionally crafted this collection to ensure each style works together, allowing for uniquely customized design applications to foster collaboration and connection in every space.”

Martha says it’s an exciting time to be a creative professional working on resilient flooring. “Thanks to game-changing technology, the way we see and experience these surfaces is evolving fast,” she says. “For example, last year we introduced our TrueMatte technology. This innovation offers the lowest luster level that I have seen in the industry. It gives our floors a natural wood and stone look without that telltale shine, along with really great performance advantages, and even a light texture feel. There continue to be additional technology advancements around acoustics, durability and even installation. I think the conversations around resilient flooring are about all the changes that are taking place and what is possible these days.”

Outdoor Kitchen Collection by Urban Bonfire x Dekton

Developed in partnership with Cosentino, the Spanish global leader in innovative and sustainable surfaces, the Urban Bonfire collection features Dekton cladding, a material chosen for its durability and versatility.

The new, modern Outdoor Kitchen Collection is inspired by nature and designed for life outdoors. It combines functional marine-grade aluminum cabinetry, integrated appliances, and Dekton cladding for unmatched performance, durability, and design.

“Demand for luxury experience outdoors is really about more than anything not having to compromise. For a really long time design professionals and homeowners had to compromise in outdoor cooking and entertaining spaces, whether it was on aesthetics or performance. You could have a really beautiful kitchen, but did it have the performance to hold out to outdoor weather? Whether that’s hot, cold, snow, salt. Or you had a beautiful aesthetic, but you didn’t have the performance of cooking, refrigeration, plumbing,” says Ryan Bloom, cofounder and president of Urban Bonfire. “The industry is moving toward a place where you don’t have to compromise, where all the things— whether it’s on performance and or aesthetic—you’re used to indoors you can now have in almost all cases in an outdoor environment.”

What surprised Bloom most about the design and engineering process of the collection was how long it took to bring to market. “It was an exercise in micro details, in looking at things, in adapting and changing,” he says. “This is an entirely new system, and I’m really glad we took the time and worked very closely with Cosentino’s product development and engineering team to make sure we got the details right—the weights of the doors, hinge systems, color coding, allowing to keep it confined and not allow water and things like that to get inside. The extra time we took, slowing it down, I believe created a much, much better end result product.”

Samsung unveiled new refrigerators with innovative AI hybrid cooling technology. Photo courtesy of Samsung

AI had a large presence at the Samsung booth this year, from high-tech fridges that remind you what you have in stock to dishwashers that clean based on the level of dirtiness of those plates and glasses. “It helps us manage our food,” says Kelly Price, product and sales trainer at Samsung, of AI Vision Inside. “It knows when you take it out, and it helps you save on food waste.”

The new fridge is customizable, from its panels—remodeling a kitchen no longer requires a new refrigerator—to how your digital screen appears. The Bespoke line proves high design can still be achieved alongside the latest technology, too.

AI Hybrid Cooling technology in refrigerators was also unveiled by Samsung this year. This new tech combines artificial intelligence with innovative cooling methods to enhance freshness for perishable foods with Hybrid Precise Cooling, which reduces internal temperature fluctuations in the fridge when activated—even during the device’s automatic defrost cycles.

Super smart appliances like these also help you streamline your life, with helpful, connected screens built in at optimal locations (the fridge door, the oven) so you don’t have to run across the room to answer a call or see who’s at the door, Kelly says. The high-tech offerings are super sustainable, too. For example, the dishwasher can be set to run at the most energy-efficient time of day. “It’s all about making your appliances work around your routine,” Kelly says.

The innovative ICON is a crystalline silica-free (CSF) surface that sets new standards for safety, sustainability, and design excellence. Engineered with up to 80% recycled materials, Caesarstone ICON addresses growing health and safety concerns while delivering the premium aesthetics and performance the brand is known for.

“That 80% recycled material comes from post-industrial glass. It’s very strong, and we’re able to add new translucency and depth to our designs,” says Tyler Thompson, director of brand marketing at Caesarstone. Options on display at KBIS included backlit slabs for even more design flexibility.

Caesarstone also debuted new porcelain designed to look like creamy leather at the show—an exciting option for kitchen designs with the added bonus of being easier to clean. Its texture calls out to be touched. “It’s going beyond. The touch is surprising,” says Jose Luis Ramon, vice president at Caesarstone.

Remington Brass by Cambria

Remington Brass continues to reflect the growing demand for bold, dramatic interiors. It and Remington Steel are among the latest designs debuted by Cambria, providing eye-catching warmth for upscale spaces.

Remington Brass features warm browns, deep charcoal, and free-flowing brass alloy veining that shifts beautifully under changing light. A bold interpretation of the dark and moody trend, it delivers striking elegance with a low-contrast, subtle aesthetic.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the striking beauty that emerged from combining deep, warm and cool hues of chocolate and charcoal,” says Summer Kath, executive vice president of design at Cambria. “The addition of the brass alloy was the perfect finishing touch that truly elevated the design. We also discovered how differently our alloys interact with a darker design; they shimmer subtly rather than shine brightly, creating a dynamic visual effect.”

To further customize these designs, Remington Brass and Remington Steel are both offered in the exclusive Cambria Satin finish. This finish adds depth, warmth, and subtle sophistication, creating a soft feel that enhances the ambience while minimizing glare and delivering unmatched elegance.

This top producer of American-made luxury quartz surfaces continues to push the boundaries with innovative technology to showcase what quartz surfaces can achieve. Maintenance-free and sustainably produced, the looks build on an excitement for design inspired by nature.

“Ranging from soft and serene to dark and dramatic, these designs seamlessly combine luxury and functionality while pushing the boundaries of advanced technologies that blend alloys and textured finishes to transform and elevate surfaces,” Summer says. “Together these designs reflect the growing demand for refined finishes that blend bold aesthetics with timeless appeal.”
