Scavolini’s new signature project, designed by Luca Nichetto, is Jeometrica, a system of geometric furnishings. True to Scavolini’s aim to create a “total-look home,” the system works in the kitchen, living room, and bathroom to bring true stylistic consistency to the home. Contemporary aesthetics and innovation meet familiar geometry in the collection, which was unveiled at EuroCucina and International Bathroom Exhibition 2022 in Milan last week.
The system reveals Scavolini’s excellence in industrial processing, research, and development in both the tiniest of details and most noticeable silhouettes. The attention to form—inspired by Ellsworth Kelly’s “sculpture for a large wall,” Gio Ponti’s work on equipped walls, and Donald Judd’s three-dimensional structures—is reflected in the prominent geometry and lines of the system.
To create visual consistency, all of the cabinets are 29 millimeters deep and are available in white, anthracite, and titanium. The three colors can be combined with lacquered finishes, decorative melamines, veneered finishes, or glass to be stylistically versatile.
Among the new features in Jeometrica are curved, tubular handles that trace the door surface to be at once decorative and functional and create visual movement. The line of accessories can be paired with the system in many combinations, and with the system’s many fitting holes can be fitted freely and repositioned as required. The equipped laminate wall panel takes on three shapes: round in two sizes, teardrop in standard size, and rectangular with a quilted tile-like pattern. The rectangular panel can be custom-sized and installed vertically or horizontally.
Along with the versatile system, Luca also designed a range of accompanying furniture, including chairs, stools, tables, and lamps. All together Jeometrica can transform a living space and generate expressive, contemporary style between rooms.
