Emmanuel took the structure and padding and lightened the load to strip the design down to its fundamental parts, letting the beauty of the pieces stand on their own without sacrificing comfort. The curved backrest handle gives the piece both visual and functional appeal.

Equally compelling, the soft lines and hefty volume of the new Kaori armchair gives an air of sophistication at home in an elegant study or living room. The chair is comprised up of two integrated shells—the outer in hide and the inner softly padded and upholstered in fabric or leather.
