Inspired by pop culture in the atomic age, Bill Curry’s lovable mushroom-like Obello lamp from 1971 is a trailblazer in 20th century lighting. Formed from a single piece of mouth blown frosted glass, Obello presents a distinctive curvilinear silhouette, eliminating the need for a separate base.

In this portable edition, GUBI gives Obello’s space-age design versatility and a lightweight, tactile shape that allows it to be carried anywhere it’s needed. Its playful form—a reference to old petroleum lanterns—ensures it always makes a strong statement, either as a characterful centerpiece or a point of curiosity.

The portable edition of Space Copenhagen’s Seine lamp allows design lovers to bring its atmospheric play of light to any space. Inspired by the behavior of light on water, Seine draws on the layering and blurring effects of glass to illuminate a space while creating a dreamy, reflective atmosphere.

Seine features an easy-to-carry, hand-finished antique brass base and a mouth blown glass shade with a sandblasted finish, giving the light a soft, textured quality. Its magical, mood-setting glow is perfect for enhancing any interior or exterior environment.

Bringing further flexibility to one of the most adaptable light designs of the 20th century, GUBI’s edition of Louis Weisdorf’s sculptural Multi-Lite table lamp reimagines the unique lamp in a portable format.

Working in collaboration with the designer’s family, GUBI has redeveloped every component of the Multi-Lite in a more compact design, integrated a USB-charging facility, and incorporated a touch-activated dimmer function. The signature ring around the lamp does double duty as a handle, allowing the lightweight lamp to be easily carried.

Originally designed in 1954, the Bagdad lamp is an offbeat showcase of Mathieu Matégot’s material affinity with perforated metal. A multifaceted, cubist construction with a comet-like tail, the Bagdad’s sculptural design has proven timeless in its playful uniqueness.

This new edition of the Bagdad lamp scales down the size by half and adds a further element of versatility by making it portable. Fitted with a touch-activated dimmer with three levels of brightness, the lamp is available in three colors—black, white, and international orange.
