Yet to become a fan of Grace Wales Bonner’s aesthetically pleasing and poised menswear line? We will get you caught up!
Last year’s LVMH winner, Grace Wales Bonner has debuted her summer-spring ’18 line in London and it is perfection. This designer should definitely be on your watch list.

London based designer Grace Wales Bonner’s style embodies European and African styles. A clean and crisp new air is placed in the fashion industry with each seasonal debut. Wales Bonner’s line is simply unique. Brilliantly represented in Grace Wales Bonner’s execution of this line are black men. Exploring the contrasts between the designer’s mind on her culture and the clothing is a huge focal point to the aesthetic. Most of what you will see in the SS’ 18 line are edgy clean cuts, two piece sets and wearable art. Chris Ofili’s work (pictured above) is flawlessly featured on pieces from this line.

The launch was at the Swiss Church in London. Clean white walls and colorful translucent lighting for the show set the atmosphere for a fresh production. The designer’s  SS’18 line has yet to hit her site, but you can view snippets via her Instagram page. The online store will be available this year. There’s no official release date available at this time. We are watching out for the release with great anticipation.

In addition to her well thought out fabrics, such as the use of cotton linens for effortless and original spins on traditional button-ups, and her simple yet intriguing models, Grace Wales Bonner also teamed up with Manolo Blahnik again to complete each wearable garment a great shoe. Wales Bonner is truth that an intellectually driven brand is possible.
